Jago Foundation has formed children’s and adolescent groups in the community and school. The main activity of this project is an awareness campaign on child rights, health, nutrition and education among the group as well as community. Through Children adolescent groups, children have prevented child labour and many child marriages.
Jago Foundation has formed and trained adolescent groups at village level. The main activity of adolescent groups is building awareness on Govt. schemes, social issues like- child marriage, fake marriage, child labour, child trafficking.
Spread the message about children's helpline CHILDLINE 1098. With this campaign children made friends of CHILDLINE to DSWO, DCPO, CWC, SDPO, Police Personal, BDO, PRI Member, Media, Children and Community etc. Around 900 children & other members covered under this campaign.
Ensuring fully functional anganwadi for children under 5. During the pandemic, a home based method of learning was followed where mothers were trained as teachers household materials were used to learn pre-primary concepts.
Includes formal education support for vulnerable children and victims of child labour during both pre and post lockdown.
Conduct legal awareness among villagers on child protection, land rights, social justice, tribal act etc.
Livelihood development through trainings and provision of investment aid to families to develop additional income to reduce Mica dependencies. Projects also helps build community support in the mica mining areas.
Families were given Dry Ration, Health and hygiene, Covid care and education kits and livelihood support. Children accessed digital education and psyco-social care. Community members were sensitised and campaigns for prevention of Covid and vaccination were conducted.
